10:18 – 5600 block of Liberty Ave: Ritter Library reporting vandalism to outside electric socket covers. No suspects at this time.
11:19 – Vermilion Road: Motor vehicle accident with no injuries.
11:41 – 4700 block of Liberty Ave: Report of damage to a light pole in a parking lot having been struck by a car. No suspects at this time.
15:30 – 400 block of Niagara Road: Assault complaint filed.
December 5, 2017
10:58 – 3500 block of Liberty Ave: Caller advised he observed a neighbor in a window that appeared to be deceased. Units arrived and verified the male was deceased. The coroner was contacted and assumed the investigation to verify cause of death, however, it appears to be natural.
13:07 – 300 block of Mornington Road: Domestic Violence complaint filed and both parties were separated for the day when it was determined to have been verbal in nature.
23:30 – SR2: Driver stopped for a moving violation was found to be under the influence and arrested for OVI.
December 6, 2017
15:04 – 2500 block of North Ridge Road: Civil complaint regarding a tree being cut down on the caller’s property.
22:51 – North Ridge Road: Motor vehicle accident with no injuries. A deer was struck and had to be dispatched by the responding officer due to its injuries.

12:11 – Liberty Ave: Motor vehicle accident with no injuries.
16:19 – South Shore Court: Motor vehicle accident with no injuries.
20:33 – Liberty Ave: Vehicle observed parked against the flow of traffic was cited.
December 8, 2017
01:56 – 4600 block of Liberty Ave: Gas station clerk reported she was assaulted in the parking lot by an unknown male suspect as she was retrieving a lighter from her car. She kicked the suspect in the testicles and locked the doors to the station. The suspect fled to the Salem Drive area where the K9 unit was called for a track but the suspect was not located. The matter was referred to the Detective Bureau for follow up.
08:07 – 1100 block of Adams Street: Assist EMS with a transport for evaluation.
December 9, 2017
12:22 – Liberty Ave: Motor vehicle accident involving 6 cars. Three subjects evaluated for possible injuries.
20:32 – Liberty Ave: Caller reporting a possible drunk driver coming into town had pulled into the police station parking lot. The responding officer then observed a vehicle pull out of the lot and proceed to drive westbound in the eastbound lane of Liberty Ave. The driver was stopped and arrested for OVI and later tested a .247.
December 10, 2017
01:11 – Liberty Ave: Driver stopped for a moving violation was later cited for possession of 15 grams of marijuana after a K9 alert.
02:13 – 1300 block of Beechview Drive: Caller reporting her husband acting erratically and locked him in the garage. The suspect was located and appeared to possibly be under the influence of an unknown substance. The male was found to have an active bench warrant for his arrest for failing to appear on an unrelated charge and was taken to Lorain County Jail after failing to post bond.
18:01 – 300 block of Morton Road: Domestic violence complaint filed. A male suspect was arrested for DV and transported to Lorain County Jail pending arraignment.
22:42 – 300 block of Morton Road: Unit responded to a residence for a possible overdose of prescription medication. The suspect was transported to Mercy for treatment.
