The Vermilion Photojournal is published every Thursday except the last week of the year covering news, events, and people in the Greater Vermilion area.

The Photojournal was established in August of 1959 and is celebrating 58 years of covering news, events, and people in the Greater Vermilion, Ohio area. The weekly community newspapers parent company is Douthit Communications, Inc. (DCI) located at 520 Warren Street, Sandusky, Ohio 44871. The Vermilion Photojournal is printed at DCI under the leadership of president/publisher H.K. Douthit, III.

In addition to the weekly paper, the Vermilion Photojournal periodically publishes a variety of special sections with a larger circulation reaching points east and west of Vermilion and an award-winning annual tourist magazine called Visit Vermilion reaching 50,000 destinations including the state’s 13 tourist information centers.
