Rotary Charitable Fund helps many local, county, and international causes

The Vermilion Rotary Charitable Fund has been awarding donations to various local causes each week at their luncheon meeting at noon on Wednesday at German’s Villa. Charitable Fund chairman John Hill gives Kim Eberle a check for Let’s Get Real. Rotary president Jim Duke presents Janet Ancog of the Vermilion Unit of the Salvation Army a donation to boost their good works. Rotary Charitable Fund member James Williamson awards Girl Scout Troop 51164 with funding to help cover the costs of the troop’s bench recycling project at Sailorway Middle School. Accepting the check are Kayla Bartlebaugh, Hannah Piwinski, and Hannah Welch. So far, donations have also been given to the Vermilion Food Pantry, the Dolly Parton Imagination Library and Shelterbox USA with more to come. The gifts are from Rotary’s annual steak fry. The community can donate to this nonprofit fund by mailing checks to Vermilion Rotary Fund, Post Office Box 224, Vermilion, 44089 and earmarking the cause they wish to help.
